Planting in hopes of the spring

Planting any seeds is the act of hoping for growth and flowers months in the future. Today I planted seeds from my mother’s garden: Angelica gigas (Korean Angelica) via the Longfellow Garden in Minneapolis; and, Astrantia hybrida (masterwort). I also planted seeds from a friend’s garden. I had to look these up and they are: Falling Stars (Crocosmia aurea).

Fading plants

Once spring is over some of the plants go dormant. Please include for me Virginia bluebells and wolfs bane which has these bright yellow flowers in the spring.
